The Henford Hen on Twitter/X just recently posted about a placeholder leak from the Instant Gaming website for the next upcoming DLC pack to come out, and it looks to be all about "life and death"! The pack is literally called Sims 4 Life and Death.
If this leak is true....
Squeeeeee! *happy dance*
Sorry, don't know how to link twitter posts, but here's a copy of the image Henford Hen posted:
What do you guys think? Funerals? Grim reaper career? Funeral director career? Fully fleshed out ghosts and/or zombies?
Now I'm dying to see what the next road map theme is going to be.... (pun intended)! The last road map was all about love, maybe this one will be all about the supernatural?

I sure hope it's true Not fan of the funerals, but hoping fleshed out ghosts so badly.
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye.. Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die.. My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..

If "Life and Death" is truly the next EP, I hope it includes all of those things and an Underworld, preferably residential, for ghosts and lost souls.
It also reminds me of one of the contenders for the community voted Stuffpack back in the days, not just Happy Haunts, but also this one:
Ofcourse I want to be super excited about an EP like this, it's been on my wishlist for some time, but I can longer trust the company to release something in-depth and substantial. I also don't trust them to release content that doesn't require several gamebreaking hotfixes to fix gamebreaking patches. When does it stop eh?
Then again, the fantasy / adventure / supernatural gameplay packs have always been the most appealing, interesting and (mostly) bug free ones in my opinion - the devs who develop these packs seem genuinely passionate about creating content like this. It's the kind of passion that doesn't always appear to be evident in non-"fantastical" packs, but perhaps I'm just a biased old fool. I shall wait patiently, quietly, for more news.

Instant Gaming has now updated the DLC placeholder with a price... looks like it's going to be a full EP and not a GP based on the price point. That means it will get a full sized world, 9 to 12 buildable lots. Yay!
We desperately need a large residential spooky/eerie or fantastical/magical type of world. I have so many build ideas for my supernaturals and no where to put them where they'll blend in with the surroundings. I'm hoping for at lease some kind of dark swampy world, but an 'underworld' like what captain mentioned would be even better!
So if it's an EP, maybe it will come out sometime around the end of October? Close to Halloween perhaps?
This road map: 1 SP, 2 kits, and 1 EP? And hopefully each of them are some kind of supernatural theme?
If we get an entire road map dedicated to occult players.... I could finally die a happy simmer.

I really need to know more about this EP because if Death is only about funeral rituals I say no thanks. I still get goosebumps when I think of the paranoid fear of death that plagued all older sims when wants and fears became a part of the game. It was the result of a stupid stereotypical way of thinking and I find it difficult to see the fun. The underworld might make me prick up my ears more if it means something with mythical creatures or fairies? I like fairies but have no idea how they came into the picture? I still don't know enough.

I can sympathize some with this. I hope it’s more fantasy than reality. I’ve mentioned in the past that I’ve been dealing with some PTSD from working in long term care during the pandemic. I wouldn’t be interested in a pack that just focused on funerals and dying. I’ve seen a lot of that recently, in real life. But, if there’s a fantasy component with Grim and some netherworld elements, I’d be much more interested.
Ohhh this sounds right up my alley! I hope it's all of the "deathly" things we all requested in the past on the old forums! Functional cemeteries, funerals, a Grim Reaper career, updated and improved Ghosts that we can make in CAS, and a larger supernatural world, maybe zombies too! We've never gotten a full EP dedicated to the weird or Occult, so I'm holding my breath for this one! (Which is quite easy for the undead, really. )
I noticed on the recent laundry list that they planned to make some tweaks for Ghosts. It stood out to me because they hardly ever pay attention to Ghost stuff, so I hope it means some good gameplay is coming! I'm trying not to get too excited because I still haven't updated my game yet for the Lovestruck patch because of the game breaking bugs and crashes. (And also fear of losing the no autonomous phone mod, but I think it's been updated on CurseForge.)
But ohhh...I'm pretty sure I want this. I really, really want this. Please don't disappoint!
